Ms. Brittany Bejma wins $750 for first place for the Chapter's 2012 Essay Scholarship Contest. She is a student at the University of Michigan - Dearborn, and granddaughter of Phil Menendez. Brittany lives in Garden City. Brittany's Essay. Ms. Zoe Moore wins $450.00 for second place. A resident of Livonia, she is a student at Sarah Lawrence College located in Yonkers, Westchester County, N.Y, and granddaughter of Bob Humphrey. Zoe's Essay. Congratulations to our winners! And a big thank-you to our six judges for helping out : Mary Boudreau, Cheryl Brown, Debby Bradley, Nancy Dignan, Mason Grahl, and Bob Paul. There were just two participating contestants this year. Check out the photos taken during our General Membership Meeting on Monday, October 8, 2012. Brittany's grandparents and Zoe Moore and her mother were in attendance to receive their certificates and prize money. Co-Chairs of the Essay Scholarship Committee are Dean Bell, Don Dignan and Ron King.
